Comfy Dapper: GQ and the Gap's collab for the best menswear designer of America

This fall is all about the collaborations. It's literally felt like it's been raining collabs, so many, it's hard to keep up. Unfortunately, usually these high-low partnerships have been mostly for the ladies with maybe (if you're lucky) a few pieces of menswear sprinkled in.

Well, GQ and Gap have done something just for the dudes.

That's right. Gentleman's Quarterly has combined forces with the Gap for the 3rd year in a row to find the best new menswear designers of America.

And the companies this year are pretty extraordinary.

Each of the designers represents a different element of masculinity in their collections. From dark and brooding to classic, from sporty to dapper nerd, it's all here.

Scroll through to see each different designers looks and the my personal faves!

Classic and comfortable Americana with shearling jackets, plaid button downs, screen tees, khakis and lived in jeans.

Comfortable collegiate with varsity jackets, trendy sweatpants, dark denim and side zip hoodies.
Uptown prep combining slim suiting with gingham button downs, fitted jeans and other gentlemenly elements.
Urbane rock star combining tough textures like leather and denim, all in black.
