About a month ago while doing some shopping with my guy, I happened upon a faux patent leather pleated skirt in an irresistible wine color from J. Crew. My usual response to items like this (i.e. items that may pose a fashion challenge for me) was to put it back and laughing it off. This time, I looked at it, I felt the material, I checked out the price, and I decided I was going to try it.
It is still sitting in my closet, but after today's post, it may make an appearance. Today's Readables featured an article discussing the rise of the patent leather trend.
