#ThrowbackThursday: 13 Times Serena Williams evoked Marilyn Monroe

Can athleticism get any better than Serena Williams? Poise, elegance, grace, and speed,  this tennis powerhouse has won 21 grand slams, making history with every swing of her racket.

But tennis is not her only place of consistent victories. She also wins big in the area of style and fashion. Having her own line, participating in collaborations, and just being awesomely aware of all led to big wins on red carpets.

As I was researching Serena, I also noticed a striking resemblance to another powerhouse, One who has and continues to win the hearts of fans all over the world for her beauty, her acting, and her sultry swagger.
Yes, Miss Marilyn Monroe. There are many times Serena has channeled this sultry siren. Here are my top 12:

Mermaids

High Waisted Short Shorts

Perfect Pencil Skirts

Sexy Suits

Cropped to Stop

White and Shifty

Printed to Perfection

The Cold Shoulder

Halted

Under the sea

White Hot

Laced Out

Roses are Red

Serena and Marilyn both slay each of these looks. These women are icons in their various field, making them this week's throwback Thursday.
