Merry Christmas from The Reclaimed!

Christmas time is here!

I am super psyched because Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. Christmas has its own feel, its own vibes, even its own even its own music (check out the latest episode of The Reclaimed Podcast where Earl and I talk all about Christmas music).

Whether it's rereading the Christmas story (for the 33rd time!), singing carols or hymns, going to see the lights, or watching my favorite Christmas movie, A Charlie Brown Christmas, this time of year is beautiful and magical to me no matter what is happening.

Christmas time as an adult is drastically different that as a child. As a kid, all I had to do was sing in a Christmas pageant and show up to the various houses we used to go to ( one of the few perks of being a kid of divorced and remarried parents) to receive tons of gifts.

As an adult, things aren't the same. Christmas comes with a to-do list longer than your arm. While we are rushing around, buying that last gift, attempting to wrap (I understand the struggle, I am the WORST at wrapping anything) or making our final preparations before the big day, we are often too busy to grasp the magic of the season.

But that doesn't make Christmas time any less magical. Sure, you are doing the cooking instead of just eating. Sure, instead of getting a ton of presents, you are doing most of the giving, but that is the actual gift. While do enjoy the food, the lights, giving gifts and getting them to, all of that means nothing if I have no one to celebrate with.

Whether with a house full of folks or someone special, my Christmas wish is that you are surrounded by the love and joy Christmas brings.

Here's to the Merriest of Christmas's from me and my family to you and yours.
