Oh Uh-Uh! Steve King needs to update his resume

I don't typically try to give out employment advice, particularly to people who are older than me, but Iowa Congressman Steve King really might want to update his resume.

The Congressman has said some pretty seedy things, from a 2013 comment about migrant children with "calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert," (classy) to the comment he made live on MSNBC in July 2016 "Where did any other subgroup of people [than Europeans] contribute more to civilization?" as recorded in the Washington Post, to last August,  meeting with far-right Austrians in Europe and interviewing with a site associated with Austria’s Freedom Party, which has alleged "historical Nazi ties" to his recent and very on-the-record quote to the New York Times about White Supremacy, 'White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization—how did that language become offensive? Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?" it seems that bigotry is the name of the game for this Iowa Congressman.

Surprisingly, King's own party has had enough of his racist and coded language. The two most powerful Republican congressmen in the House, Kevin McCarthy, and Steve Scalise were forced to condemn King following his NYTimes comments. MEaning that King might be too racist for the Republican party, which, if you have been paying attention, is shocking.

Even the racists believe King has crossed a critical line when it comes to racist displays."Steve King is basically an open white nationalist at this point," mused Andrew Anglin, founder of the neo-Nazi site, Daily Stormer, after King tweeted that "we can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies."

Ok, so we know King is a racist bigot, no shocker there. But did you also know he low key approves of rape and incest? That's right folks.

According to the Des Moines Register, King, while discussing his position on abortion with a group at the Westside Conservative Club said: "We know the reasons why we don't except exceptions, for most of us, for rape and incest, because it's not the baby's fault." However, then his comments took a strange and appalling turn, "What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled out anyone who was a product of rape or incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?" King continued, "Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages that happened throughout all these different nations, I know that I can’t say that I was not a part of a product of that."

Well, as expected, it's gotten worse for King. House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney on her Twitter called King's comments "appalling and bizarre" and called for King to resign, as did Joe Biden. King recently hosted an to which 1 (O-N-E) person showed up. He's already been stripped of his previous duties by his party and, in essence, sat in time out. These comments, however, might be the final blow.
Despite all of the fall out against King, he insists that the media owe him an apologiy for being misquoted, despite the quotes being taken from a recorded video. It seems that the only person who doesn't believe that Steve King isn't a racist misogenist is, well, Steve King.

King represents the last gasps of a disgusting part of American history and leadership, one that sees his fellow human beings of different ethnicities as some how inferior, one that sees whiteness as power instead of just another addition to the colorful tapestry known as humanity, one that sees women as property and pleasure objects, not fellow people to be respected. Otherwise, those statements would have never crossed his mind, let alone left his mouth.

Rape and incest are nothing to joke about or to applaud. They are horrendous acts against majorily women and girls, who, in men like King's eyes, should they become pregnant, these women and girls should be forced to carry and give birth to their rapist's child. Men like King have held power and sway over law for far too long. It is high time we as a populous rise, using our words, our unity, and our vote to remove them from positions of power and have actually qualified people replace them.

Time for King to polish up that resume. I hear the Trump camp is always hiring. But apply at your own risk...
