#ThrowbackThursday: Dame Shirley Bassey

October is British Black History Month. To honor our phenomenal brothers and sisters from across the pond, this week's Throwbackthursday beauty inspiration is dedicated to one of England's best; Dame Shirley Bassey.

Dame Shirley Veronica Bassey, was born on the 8th of January in 1937 and is a Welsh singer. She became very famous beginning in the mid-1950s, being called called "one of the most popular female vocalists in Britain during the last half of the 20th century".

Here in the US, Bassey is best known for recording theme songs to three James Bond movies Goldfinger (1964), Diamonds Are Forever (1971), and Moonraker (1979).

She currently still performs around the world and resides in Monaco (how fabulous is that?). Here she is looking simply stunning, a much deserving vintage beauty inspo.
