You heard about this New Curél stuff?

So confession...

I have very dry skin. Like super dry. For a better picture, think of a crocodile left in the dessert sun. Yep, scaly. Now add the irritation that comes with having such dry 

And cold weather does nothing but exacerbate that.

So to say that I have tried most moisturizing lotions and washes would be a major understatement. And with the exception of a few faithful products (to be posted later) I haven't found any help.

Almost just as the fall season was beginning, Influenster sent me their Curél Vox Box containing the brand's Itch Defense Soothing Spray and body wash.

I'll admit it, I was suspicious about both helping with my dry situation. Here's what I found out: 

First up in the goodie box; the Soothing Moisturizing Spray:

I looked the bottle over, noticing a few things that peaked my interest:

-See that little blue letter E seal on the bottom of the bottle? That means this product is approved by Eczema professionals. Having suffered from the occasional Eczema breakout, I definitely took this as a good sign. 

-Another thing I liked was the spray nozzle as opposed to a hand pump. This allows the product to be evenly distributed across the skin and prevents product waste. 

Okay, all this checks out, but how would it feel on my skin? How would it smell? Would it do the job?

Turns out the product is actually a very nice moisturizer. It has a very light and pleasant smell and smoothes on nice and evenly. And (surprisingly), it not only kept my skin moisturized for the full day, it seemed like after a few weeks of using the product, it made my skin even smoother. 

Now for the Body Wash:

While I was less enthused with this product than the previous, I can see how they would compliment each other well. Shower with this body wash, keeping moisture in your skin then spray on the soothing spray and voila! non itchy, smooth and moisturized skin ready for the day, night, or whatever.

All in all, I liked the products. I like that they operate as a one-two punch to combat the itch caused by dryness, but I like even more that they combat dryness itself.
