Oh, Uh-Uh: I'm getting really tired of Kim K's constant Blackface

Kim Kardashian West is really getting on my nerves.

The wife of the potential character base for a sequel to Get Out 2 has innundated the digital space with a constant barrage of culture vulturing. From literally Columbusing Fulani braids and cornrows to co-opting the name Kimono for her shapewear, which she has since changed after a summer full of backlash from numerous folk and, well, the entire country of Japan.

So you have to understand my palpable annoyance when I saw 7 Hollywood's newest spread of Kim K, mostly unrecognizable. In fact, I initially did not recognize her. I thought it was Eva Marcille or another lovely model, certainly a woman of color. No. It's Kim K.

She is literally the patron saint of Blackfishing.

The shoot was meant to honor Elizabeth Taylor in the '80s, who looked like this:

See. A beautiful, confident, sexy, legend of a White Woman. Full curly bob, fur, jewels, smoldering eyes. A true dame. Note, not an ounce of bronzer or tint outside of a bit of cheek rouge, can be seen on Elizabeth. She looks very much like a White Woman.

Kim K's shoot gave us anything but THIS. She looks like a Black Woman. The full bob folks attempted to give us for this shoot looks more like a pressed out fro. Kim's lips look like they are as full as they can be.

Notably, Kim's skin looks unnaturally darkened. She looks like a Black Woman, hairstylist Peter Savic, and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, literally make Kim look like a Black Woman.

This shoot by Alix Malka for 7Hollywood’s Winter 2020 Pop Issue is causing quite a stir on the internet.
